AAUW x Loose Collaboration

A few weekends ago, we had the honor of teaming up with AAUW (American Association of University Women) to shoot a video that promoted membership into their leadership programs. The video, in editing stages now, follows six women as they experience everyday sexism, from facing sexual harassment on campus to struggling to get their voice heard in class.

Everyone on set was committed to being there, dedicated because we shared a common goal: to shed light on issues that so many young women face. We hope to provide an impactful video that encompasses these situations in an honest way.

It’s very humbling to be able to work on this important project, one that we hope will get more college students involved with AAUW’s great work. Video coming out soon!!

Much love,

Brett

Loose Music: Mi:Mi ~ep 3

Precisely three weeks ago, an old friend of mine crawled out from under an urban pebble (she lives in New York) and saw the light - she got Spotify. Naturally, she turned to me for musical wisdom.

A nascent music listener taking flight.

A nascent music listener taking flight.

So for the last three weeks, I've been curating a weekly playlist for her of ten delicious songs both old/new, of varying genre, and relatively unheard of (I think). Essentially, I share the tunes I find or am into the past week or so. Well, I'm sorry Meemz. I must share these gems with the world! Here is week three of the Mi:Mi playlists. Take a listen below and be sure to follow the upcoming episodes and the first two. I know you won't be disappointed.

Yours in music + dance + everything nice,

Roger

Loose Release: Booty & The Kidd - Get

If you've ever had a conversation with Nick Reinmann (The Kidd) and Tyler Butts (Booty), you'd know that the duo rarely talk about anything else besides music and chilling. In no way is this a bad thing - they're not lazy - they're musicians.  Like many passions, music is one that is all-consuming. There's something about creating a piece of art that sounds so good to one's own ears that it becomes addicting. The lifestyle of a musician revolves around writing, listening, performing, and repeating - music can take up all of one's time. For the most part, musicians love this. However, it can be a lonely journey where one is holed up in an apartment, eyes glued to the blinking screen of Logic Pro on their laptop, hands cramped from days and days of nonstop writing and playing. Booty & The Kidd know this feeling well and, thus, this sometimes lonely lifestyle of a musician was the inspiration for the tune and video for "Get" - the last installment of three music videos Loose has worked with B&tK on.

The team would like to thank Nick and Tyler for their dedication to their musical craft and for letting us be a part of it. It's been a pleasure. Without further ado, here is our video for "Get."

Forever yours in entertainment,

Roger
