The Stanley Sessions is a project by photographer Whitney Saleski. Through photography, Whitney hopes to de-stigmatize suicide discussion and bring awareness to the forefront. She photographs survivors of suicide attempts, and friends or family members of people who have committed suicide. The collection of stories aims to reduce the negative stigmas about suicide, and open an honest and heartfelt conversation, instead of one plagued by isolation and loneliness.
Whitney reached out to us about doing some video work for her project, and we are honored to help her cause in any way we can. This Saturday, we are going to document Whitney as she walks her subjects through the interview process and photography session. We’re really looking forward to joining forces with an organization that truly aims to help people.
